CCCOE Group Meet-Up in LA

So 12 Ladies from Ventura, LA, Santa Monica and more, met up on a Saturday morning to scour the fashion district for fabric, trims, beads and more. Five of us also hit up the jewelry district for tools, beads and findings. It was great to put faces to all the beautiful work we see on Etsy. The group had photographers, doll-makers, jewelry designers, bag-makers, seamstresses, knitters, and more. So Sandy of sandysimone.etsy.com took on the role of leader and she really needed a flag to keep all of us women together. Some of the places we visited were Michael Levine's for fabric, Berger's Beads, Bella Findings, A to Z Tools, Sadco. I know I am forgetting places and after a few stores we branched off in groups to find what everyone came downtown in search of. Diedre of Blackbird72.etsy.com and her husband pointed some of us in the direction of the flower district where we sat down and had some lunch. The group that made it downtown for our first meetup was Erin of knittergirl, Kim of visionsquest, Sandy of sandysimone, Jennifer of porterness, Elena of elenamary, Joanne of crazyartdolls, Christie of precioustwinkle, Valorie of arttoweardiva, Annie of anniekdesigns, Diedre of blackbird72, Nina of prettycheapjewelry, and myself Amanda of amandaklockrowjewels. If I missed anyone or spelled any names wrong please let me know. I am the worst with names. I stole the photos from Sandy and Nina, thanks for taking them.

  3. OOOOOH!!! That looks like sewwww much fun!!! I met up with an online group in Orange County several years ago. There was talk of us going downtown to the fabric district, but we never got there. I'm in Sacramento, so LA is quite a drive for me. Does anyone know if San Francisco has a similar fabric district? Thanks!
