How To Relax During Holiday Rush
Worried and frazzled during Etsy's holiday rush? Here are some tips to help you relax and enjoy the ride.
1) Make a work schedule and stick to it. It will stop you from worrying about what comes next.
2) Keep an online calendar of important events. Need to reorder boxes regularly? You can schedule your reminders on Google's online calendar, and have it email reminders.
3) Take a break. Get a massage. Walk around the block. Drink some Tension Tamer Tea by Celestial Seasonings.
4) Exercise. It's been proven to help you with stress. And you'll get to use different muscles from the ones you normally use for crafting.
5) Make your friends and family help you. Sure, they can't help you make your items. They don't know how to knit or sew, but they can run packages to the post office, cook you dinner, and help clean up your studio.

ReplyDeleteExcellent advice! I find that taking my tubby dog for a walk helps me clear my mind. I figure if I am all stressed I just sit for ten minutes and stare dejectedly at my workspace so why not get outside for a little vitamins D instead :)

Great tips Emily! Thanks for the article.
ReplyDeleteI had to make a calendar because I was going crazy between school and craft shows, but I did it on paper, only because I like to cross over things that I finished. Love that feeling!
ReplyDeleteThanks for these wonderful tips - I feel more relaxed just reading them. :)

I love the Google calendar and how it emails me a reminder! Wish the pop-up reminder feature worked, it's never worked for me ... sigh!
ReplyDeleteWalking is an awesome way to relax! I do seem to have problems getting motivated to put on my shoes and go out the door though. LOL! :-)
Oh yeah... that Google Calendar... what will they think of next! ;) And I'm all in favor of making your People help you wherever they can...
