Showing the Handmade

It's time for my monthly roundup of the new items the CCCOE team has listed for sale. As this is only a brief taste, make sure to check out the newbie thread for other great finds.

First up, it's not too late to get something for Halloween. Especially if it's a digital download like this good witch card...

Of course, Halloween doesn't need to be the end of the interestingly-themed items. Like, for example, this rosette...

And let's face it, I'm a sucker for anything orange. Which is why this bracelet caught my eye...

Perhaps you're looking for an upcoming birthday. We are currently in the sign of Scorpio and we will be until about November 21st. If you've ever met a Scorpio, this mug is pretty apropos.

The other thing I'm a sucker for is the interesting bag. And this tie bag has that in spades...

Need a planter for your succulents? I've seen various ideas for planters, but I'll admit I kind of like the graphic look of this triangle. It'll definitely stand out in an outdoor space...

And finally, it'll probably get cold around here. Eventually. And when it does, how about a handwoven blanket?

November's Newest (in December)

My usual end-of-the-month round up of some of the more interesting finds in the "Show Your Handmade Creations" thread of the team discussion board got preempted last week by the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales post. (Did you all do your shopping for unique and handmade items for this holiday?) So, we're going to make up for that today...

First thing that caught my eye. Knit and crochet. Naturally...

And it's time to festoon your home with all sorts of seasonal decorations. Like a wreath...

And a bow tie for the men wouldn't be remiss...

Summery, Sort Of

It's officially summer. So, I went in search of teammates' items that screamed summer to me. And...well, perhaps I didn't exactly come up with the summer collection I'd hoped for. But these are summery, kind of...

What's more summery than a big summer movie? Like the sequel to Monsters Inc.

While clutches aren't so summery, necessarily, this washed out orange makes me think of hot days with too much sun.

When the weather warms up, I find it uncomfortable to knit, but crochet is fine. And what better to make than a nice lacy top for the warmer weather. (This is a listing for a pattern, not a finished item. But I could see myself wearing that.)

And what better to do during the warmer evenings than to lounge around outside and take in a plant wall hanging?

This shelf makes me think of finding weathered objects outside. In the heat.

As do these brooches.

And I couldn't do one of my strange collections without some jewelry. Maybe not so summery, but it wouldn't be out place this season. Or any season.

Checking Out the New Listings

Every month, the team posts a new thread in the discussions forum where everyone can post their new listings. It's nice to go through and see what's new...

Christmas is coming, and the first things I noticed were some Christmas-themed jewelry, which would be great for gift giving or as something fun to wear for the season.

(By Penrose Designs and Designs by Felisa.)

If you've been cold (I know I have) there are some new items to keep you warm.

(Crocheted hat by Bohemian Hollow and woven scarf by Lulu's Creations1.)

Then I noticed a couple different kinds of bracelets.

Depending on your style, you can go with the leather cuff by Misha Girl or the beaded bracelet from MaRIAHjules.

And back at Christmas stuff...

...just in case you need Christmas cards (by Nthegroove) or gift tags (by HeartAndHandmade2).

I like to pop by the thread periodically. December's will be up until the end of the month. Check it out.
